Nemesis - why not?
I have the Themis project that I started a few weeks ago, but this project had a more fun part for the old guy (around 45 years old) that I am... and for a good part of people my age. But then why not do it? The Themis project as a reminder is an allegory of justice, this blindfolded woman holding a sword and a balance in her hands. And Nemesis? it was a more offbeat version of this representation: the sword was replaced by a rolling pin and the weighing pan by a household scale... In my time, it was mostly men who drank - let's say it was socially more acceptable. Nowadays, men and women drink more openly... And even if drunkenness on the streets is still punishable by law, it is socially acceptable for men and women to be drunk (no matter what I think here about alcohol - that's not the point). So, is this conjugal justice still appropriate? Another point, as men and women are likely to go into a second state at home, if I did this series, should I also show men? of course! But then we would very quickly slide into the field of domestic violence... And that's not the subject of this project! Therefore, Nemesis - a complementary and ironic project of the Themis project - will probably never come to life.
